Day 13 We bid farewell to Meli and Chadd at the boat dock. After we cleared Greek customs in Samos with a fresh stamp in our passports, we checked in at the Hotel Samos. The tour was officially over, but what a tour it had been. We met many amazing, interesting people thanks to the tour. We made friendships that will live on via cyber space, postcards, and occasional visits. We explored Samos town and found a small restaurant to have a real Greek gyro at for lunch. |

Neil and I took the bus to Pythagorio before returning to the hotel to relax by the pool. Later that evening we met most of the other tour members on our hotel's terrace. We all discussed our travel plans and then Toy and I visited a few jewelry shops. Neil and I would be heading to Santorini on an early morning flight, others were staying in Samos, heading to Crete, Romania, Austria, or back to the USA. We said our farewells and promised to keep in touch. Neil and I went to the Restaurant Dias for dinner to celebrate our fourth wedding anniversary. |
